Hedge fund or VC route?
Just received an offer from Deloitte (advisory SC, in risk and financial group (gps?)): $152k, $8k sign-on living in DC. Currently $135, but I would have to pay my current company apx 7k to move (payback for TA). DC area, in a highly cleared space. Any recommendations on how to counter or if its worth it?

That’s surprising but falling behind can really hurt your ability to move. If you would consider getting help from another recruiter, send me a DM
I can lead and manage the NDA process, oversee the diligence process from start to finish (DRL, DD calls with Company, DD memo), lead the Disclosure Schedule workstream, lead RWI calls with underwriters, draft ancillaries (resolutions, officer’s certs, termination letters, assignment agreements) and core transaction documents (purchase agreement, rollover & contribution, equity transfers, TSAs, escrows, employment agreements ,ECL/DCL etc,)
The only thing I don’t regularly do is entity formation and corporate governance matters because my seniors handle it.
They might be seeking a more senior candidate, like a 6 year. If so, it’s unrelated to your skills or legal background. Since we can't know for sure, there's no need to worry. Focus on becoming comfortable in your current system, which could help you gain experience suited for more senior roles. You can then include these experiences on your resume and discuss them in your next interview.

A little surprising. What does the recruiter you're using say?
I don’t think it’s your skill set - are you getting to screener interviews? If not is there anything unusual on your resume - eg I’ve seen people who have their LSAT score on their resume and it’s like ok weird, cringe
