I’m a PE associate and my week is basically: models, IC memo edits, CIM review, repeat. We close a deal, and two days later I’m already staffed on the next one. There’s no recovery window. How are people actually managing energy at this level without torching their health?

Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. Is there any stigma to saying no to an offer without another in hand? I landed an off-cycle offer at a decent fund but after thinking through, want to take a shot at some of my other funds as well

I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups. It is an important trait to have in this job and I just don't know how to do this. It makes me very upset - I even sought therapy but wasn't useful.
