Not sure what firm, but you will definitely burn bridges if you push for a higher salary, someone goes out on a limb to get you the higher salary, and then you leave.
I think OP is asking about how to negotiate salaries for the next job, not about asking for more $ from his company on top of the estimated raise.
I think they are asking if they should ask the new firm for more. Not asking if they should push for a higher salary at their current firm.
EY pays first year seniors more than 110k?
Tell them you’re getting promoted - keep the range in your back pocket. Make them offer first
No EY pays first yr seniors 80-95ish k . Definitely not 100+
15-20%
What SM1 said... Don't be too greedy if you're already planning to bounce
+1 to what SM1 said. Consulting is a rather small circle where word travels fast. You want to manage yourself like a “brand” with that in mind
I think I phrased my question incorrectly. I meant that the 100-110 range is what my salary will be when I get promoted in a few months. I meant for when I’m talking to other firms. Should I be saying my salary expectation is in that range or higher?
Associate 1 and IBM 1, yes that’s exactly what I was asking
Higher
Ask new firms for what you want. If your not willing to work for analyst salary then don’t entertain those offers.
EY offered me 110k as a senior, but I was already senior here and have an MBA. Fwiw.
If you are leaving you company, ask for more always, at least 20% higher in total comp
EY? That's is a low range
^ depends on where your coming from. If going to a better firm you might not get a bump in salary.
Ah, sorry I misunderstood. Generally ask for higher but do some research on the market rate
Always ask for more than what your current or near current salary is going to be
SC is level 3 at D. You’d be making 140k or so in your case.
