You need to be there at least a year before you’re in a position to ask for a comp review. You accepted the job with the current salary you have. It sucks but such is life. Trust me, we’ve all been there. Crush your performance and leave no doubt. In 5 months, you’ll be in a better position to ask for a comp uplift. But do NOT ask for more money right now as it won’t bode well with your boss. Bite your lip and keep your head down.

Like other said, it would not be a good idea to ask for a raise only seven months into your job. Even if you wait a year and get a stellar performance review, they still aren't likely to make up that significant of a salary difference. Your best bet is to start job hunting.
