I'm an inside sales rep, and literally most of my job is just waiting, and trying not to be too pushy. It's making me realize how hard it is on my self-worth that I'm thinking about this over my weekend. How do you handle the 'ghosting' phase when a promising lead suddenly goes silent? What’s your go-to strategy to re-engage without coming off as annoying or overly persistent?

How long is your average sales cycle?
Also I would try not to get too fixated on any prospect. If you need that sale to keep your lights on, then yeah, I get it.
If that’s not the case, learn to filter between the fake yeses and “yeah that sounds great, send me info.”

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule.
