Have you had conversations with them about how stable the role will be long-term? A promotion is appealing, but stability matters just as much as title and salary. With the pending IPG/Omnicom merger, agencies in that network may face restructuring and cost-cutting. The last thing you want is to make the leap only to be vulnerable to layoffs in a consolidation process. It’s worth asking not just about the role itself, but also how leadership is planning for continuity through the transition.
“Great question! There’s a chance you could be laid off in 3-4 months—this piece of business is kind of on rocky ground but we need someone in here to bill the crap out of it before EOY.” 😊
RFH has no long term potential. You won’t get promoted there because clients are jumping ship. Yes, there is instability at FCB due to the merger but then every place has something now. Go get the cheddar and title as soon as you can. The industry is going to be unstable for the next 3- 5 years.

The environment at IPG seems uncertain. You can request a rotation within Publicis. I know people that has moved around within the groupe. But, there are no guarantees that the position you hope for is avail immediately. And, you’ll still have to go through the interview process as any external candidate.

Leave on good terms, be gracious, earnestly thank the people you’ve learned from. Immediately build a nest egg with the additional salary as you feel out the new place.
You’ll find some other people to like lol. Go.
You can always come back especially if you're on such good terms!
One of my managers told me years ago when I was expressing apprehension at leaving him “ there are nice people everywhere”.
He was absolutely right!
And if one really wanted to work with nice people, one would choose a different line of work. 🤣
Get the offer, with title and salary, in writing from FCB. Resign from Razorfish and mention you may entertain a counteroffer. If you get a counteroffer, go back to IPG andI bet they have 5-10 grand more.
But do not forget that the last one hired is usually the first one fired as a result of any type of reduction in workforce
