I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?

Do the interview! You have nothing to lose.
Second this. Do it.
Always keep irons in the fire.
Sounds like you’re at Lilly. I’ve noticed title inflation there, relative to other pharmas, so if the external VP position is at another reputable top pharma, the leveling and comp may be more worthwhile than an AVP at Lilly. That said, Lilly’s had an amazing trajectory, and my 401k is healthy largely due to my stint there. Agree with others - even if you don’t intend to leave, there may be benefit to learning more about the role. I think your curiosity is there for a reason.
I always say that keep your options open. Take the interview, you have nothing to lose. And I would not use it to counter offer. If you get the offer and chose not to take it it will boost your confidence and if chose to take it make sure you negotiate so it is actually worth financially
Always take the interview. You don't have to take the job.
Go for it. Don’t tell anyone. Could be your ultimate opportunity.
Risk… is once the recruiter knows you may move it’s not unheard of that they contact your employer to let them know they may have a vacancy soon…. They get a foot in the door early to recruit into your post.
