May I know what is the notice period if one resigns in infy during the first 6 months of joining? I am a lateral resource and they hired me in June, but they have no projects related to my tech and want me to take weird roles.. seems they are hiring to increase employee count and cross training most. just looking for options..

Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

I would start documenting the additional responsibilities clearly. When the conversation happens, it helps to show how the scope of your role expanded rather than framing it as a complaint.
They noticed, you just didn't push back. Stand up for yourself, no one else will. If you want me to do the work of two people, you better be willing to pay me.
That sounds right! I need to start something in motion!
Same thing happened to me. Some one left and they have me doing the work he did. Unfortunately the former manager did NOT cross train anyone and on 2nd shift either. I am just winging it with the curren, confusing work instructions there are. I hope management does not expect me to be up to speed anytime soon. This is a difficult assembly to complete and has very little room for error.

Set up a meeting with first level manager and start there. It’s can be a tough convo but totally within scope of manager and employee relationship. You have to let them know or else it will be never be brought up.
That’s the team player concept comes in when you were interviewed.
Team player is a very broad term. Willingness to help on occasion (outside your defined role) is one thing, but this sounds like they are taking on someone else’s role who is no longer at the company. Employers want to trust employees, but it’s not a 2 way street. Do this person’s job or we will find someone else. I’ve been an event manager, marketing program manager, CoS and a HR business partner. None of them were in my job description. I was fed up so retired early.
This happened to me. We became under staffed, they added manager level tasks and asks. I knew I could do the work - but the new expectation was to do the work ++ without increase in compensation. My advice, keep your options open.. start looking for future positions.. talk to your lead, leverage the new opportunities as incentive for an increase in compensation… else, a strategy to slowly and quietly have you become a glorified “go to person”…

I would definitely mention it. You either want to change your title and try and get compensation attached to it. Or I'd say you want to focus on your old work and they have to find someone to fill that space.
