As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

Echoing the above - Indians are being scapegoated by many who have high resentment to Trudeau politics. While there are many Indians that come looking for a better life and are honest citizens; there are many who have scammed the system blatantly - over the months there has been viral videos showing Indian Uber eats drivers spitting in food, international students bragging about gaming food banks, dancing in the streets being disruptive and refusing to assimilate into local culture. Add to this frustration on economy (lack of jobs cus of gaming if the system to hire foreign temp workers), and housing (the “Brampton mortgage”), and you can see where/why the disdain is so high and will only get worse
This is not normal, but there is growing anti-south Asian sentiment (not necessarily blatant racism) in Toronto due to jobs and housing.
Due to Trudeau’s immigration policy* corrected it for you bud
Lived here ~ 5 years and haven’t seen much of this radical racism if any. I think the largest group the general public generally dislikes is the palistine protestors (they’re annoying af over here)
Caveat: the tweakers and homeless people will occasionally shout random crap at you but it’s pretty meaningless
I see the "hate has no place here" term a lot in Toronto but the general public has their own biases.
In this city more than half of the population is immigrant so you can't pin this on Canadians. Unfortunately both domestic and international politics influence our lives here indirectly and your concern is valid. This is because world is so messed up.
Yes, stay where u r
Not unique to Toronto unfortunately. Any large multicultural city experiences this to some extent. It's exacerbated by the increased level of immigration particularly from South Asia. East Asians got similar treatment during COVID in my experience
