I don't know your current situation at your company, but in general my advie would be that you should spend less time worrying about what you want and don't have and more time making the best of what you do have. Try to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. The sun will come up tomorrow and the earth will keep spinning. Any problem you have, no matter how big, is a speck of dust in the cosmic storm of life. Someone else is much worse off than you. Nations are at war and thousands of people are dying needlessly every day. Your problems are important, yes, but try a little perspective.

Totally. I have been looking for a new role for 2 months, my severance ended at the end of last month, and we're coasting right now. Luckily we had already done christmas shopping for the kids, but we're becoming very frugal. Definitely hold onto your current job until you find something else. The job market feels like the wild west right now
Very difficult to get something better and new for me, but I just keep applying and thank heaven I still have a full time job
It is a good time to put hope into the new year, reflect on the past year, but ultimately know that all you can do is keep trying. Put forth the best you can and that is all you really can do. Applying for jobs this whole year was an absolute nightmare for me, so I understand the burnout.
Yes, this is way to do it, but don't have a breaking point yesterday is gone and have no emotional luggage to carry around with you from all your efforts from this past year, so just let it go and keep on going
Hey, I’ve found that using the relationships that I’ve built through my time with the companies I’ve been with extremely useful especially if you’ve expressed to them that your a hard worker and have brought them some benefit through your time with your past company. If you let them know your situation, they will be an extension of you and they can get you an interview that holds more weight than just applying to companies you have no connection with
