Hi all
Any openings in Goa location?
What is the starting salary for a tax senior? 😅
Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?
Oracle

Not at all, most Big Tech companies offer a base salary + commission structure. I would not risk it, especially because you don’t know how long sales cycles can be at a new company. I had that once before and earned pretty much nothing the first two months. I will never do that again.
Check out repvue.com if you are interested in high paying sales jobs.
I’ve been told the same, but I asked specific questions. For the all commission role, They showed me their numbers and leads and also met actual people working the jobs. Asked the normal sales of new reps. So I took the jump! I start my rat race one 11/1. Wish me luck!
I think it also depends on the field your in.
I started out at a technology reseller in, essentially, a commissions-only role, (small monthly draw, but that was it). It was a hard way to start in sales, but over time, it became lucrative. Most of the people I know who make that move away from a base+commission role have a great Rolodex of potential clients and a set plan on how they'll work it moving into a new commissions-only world. Done right, you can make boatloads of money. You just need to have a clear picture of how you're going to get there.
