That's the squeeze. Minimum wage goes up (as it should), but if you're slightly above it, your pay doesn't go up at all. and suddenly the gap between you and entry level is basically nonexistent. Only choice is to try to find a place that'll pay you what you're worth.

Exactly right! It is so frustrating
It can feel like your experience and qualifications aren’t being properly valued. Have you seen a role or company structure where mid-level pay actually keeps pace with market changes? Try to research comparable roles elsewhere or in other industries to see if a move could give you better pay for your AAT qualification. You might also consider negotiating with your current employer, although that’s usually very difficult.

I honestly don't think it has anything to do with that as I have been looking at other roles and it's just the going rate in my area! Yeah, tbf I have got a pay rise recently which will be applied soon, but even still it's not much for what we do!
I feel like I should work a minimum wage job, get food stamps, and Medicaid. Honestly sometimes it sounds easier.
