I'm interested in growth or product marketing. I currently work as an SEO but do a lot of data analysis, content strategy, and technical optimization. However I also have skills in creating new conversion paths, designing landing pages and A/B tests, and work cross-functionally with the Product team.

I'm interested in more full-funnel: paid, on site, email, and then testing to improve conversion rate. However, a lot of growth marketing roles entail a "paid" aspect and I lack experience. Tips?

There are skills based volunteer organizations that give you opportunities for experience doing that exact work for nonprofits. A couple of times a year I volunteer to work on hack-a-thons for a nonprofit.

SEO is back in demand with all the AI changes. Ride the wave and see where it takes you before you commit to any pivot.

Will an MBA set me apart? I have a BS in Marketing from top 15 undergraduate business program with a 3.8 gpa, 2 years work experience (3 by the time I’d enroll), and scored in the 63rd percentile on the gmat. This qualifies me for an average business school (ranked below ~50). My goal is to move into a management position within the next 5 years and eventually move into a director or c-suite role. At your companies, do most upper-level marketing employees have an MBA? Is it from a top school?

Facebook Ads after iOS 14 changes.

I'll share my experience and urge you to share yours:

Since iOS 14 changes, Facebook ads isn't the same anymore. Why?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

What's your experience? Let's all learn.

I recently accepted a job that I quite overqualified for because I’m in need of a job. I got hired as a Marketing Manager and work directly with the Marketing Director. Come to find out my director is still in school and has absolutely no marketing experience. She’s been with the company for 4 months. They seem to want to utilize my complete skills set and make up for her lack of marketing knowledge but maintain her position as director and pay me a entry level marketing manager salary. Advice?

The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

Is this a lot for an interview?
