How is your credit score? I have a referral code for Amex platinum, gold, and blue cash.

getting AmEx pPatinum as first credit card ...good luck!

like

An Amex platinum would be good, but I think you would need to build your credit first. Look for the chase card to start, and don't just get attached to one card. If you have a good strategy, you can travel for free year-round.

Right now I am using the Chase Sapphire card, it is a bit expensive because of the annual fees but I make my money back hopefully, check this website they have outlined good number of cards and what they are serving for best.

Here is a good guide: Groceries- BCP til 6k then Amex Gold
Restaurants- Amex Gold
Gas- Discover It til June 30 then Verizon Visa
Travel- Venture and Amex Gold
Streaming- BCP

Amex Platinum

Honestly, you can't go wrong with any Amex, but look at the rewards and interest rates of each and see which fits you the best.

Amex Platinum. That's your best option right now. You can earn and redeem points for flights, hotel bookings and car hire. So it is really perfect for you.

I have 32k miles with THY that are about to expire. Normally I'd go ahead and book a flight, but I can't project which countries might be locked down again 5-6 months from now (haven't accrued enough PTO to travel in near future). The only other way to keep the miles is to pay $10 per 1000 miles, as far as I know. Are there other strategies?
