I mean you're kinda SOL since you're the one that accepted their offer 5 months ago...ideally you would've negotiated and settled on something higher.
It's pretty unlikely that they'll bump up your salary 5 months into the job, so your best bet is to wait it out until you hit your annual review or have compensation discussions, or you can start interviewing.
Research is subjective. If you ask everyone in this platform, majority will say are underpaid.
Leave for a new job is the only thing you can do. You did this to yourself by not doing research beforehand.

Think of it from the employer’s perspective. I hire you to do a job for a price and you come in and do the job well. 5 months go by and you say because I’m doing the job well, I need a large percentage increase. That’s not fair to the employer who offered you a salary you accepted only a few months ago unless you’re taking on more responsibilities than you were hired for.

Agreed with A1. You can possibly negotiate higher salary at your regular scheduled comp review if you’ve taken on extra responsibilities and can present a case for why you’re worth it, but 5 months in isn’t the time to argue for it. Especially considering you’re just doing your job well and the extra responsibilities were labeled temporary.
Only 5 months in is probably the hardest selling point. I would definitely be keeping track though of all these good points and have them ready when the time comes to talk about raises. That or you can try to interview/research other places, but that can be difficult also.
