Im new to industry so i have a question abt month end close. Is it the norm that an AP manager is on vacation on Day 3 of a 3 day month end close? I thought that month end close is a busy/critical time for the whole accounting team?

Hey Friends, need help!! I am a developer with 1.6 YoE, got placed on-campus (NIT), can code well in Java and Python, but want to move into an analyst type role as I am not sure if I can be a good 'developer'.
Is it an ideal move for a long career, or if I want to do an MBA in future?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

Why do project managers get off on fire drills? Like literally laugh about it. I find it pretty f’d up since the creatives are the ones actually making the work and having to race to get it done. Also, in the case, the “fire drill” was their fault.

I am an acting senior and am training 3 new hires. They are not doing well, so I often re-do their works even after I give them 2 pages step by step instruction. The problem is my manager and director don't see the problems (because those problems happen behind the scene) and think all the A1s are performing exceptionally well.
