Is it pretty usual to go from big 4 M to MBB? Or do they not consider Big 4 Consulting as valuable experience?
How are the exits from Big 4 to SAP consulting? Specifically for those that did SAP implementations at big 4. Looking in terms of pay, WLB, and travel specifically. Any other thoughts welcomed.
Are there any Detroit or comparable COL region folks? What are market value ranges these days in terms of Base and TC for a strategy consultant (4YOE) at big 4 or other consultancies including boutiques?

Hi BCG 🐠— with four years consulting experience (coming from the Big 4 as an SA), is Associate the right lateral rank? I’ve heard SA isn’t as common of a title at BCG but it may be more appropriate
Okay… all kidding aside, is there anything positive about KPMG? The internet and social media makes fun of them. My leadership makes fun of them. Other big 4 friends make fun of them. MBB makes fun of them. Do they do that bad of a job + have that many shady things going on?
Thoughts on using an offer from another big 4 to transfer groups within your current firm? How often does your firm tell you to just leave vs. granting the transfer?
Going from Big4 to MBB, should I share which firm I’m going to as part of the separation process? Or keep it on the DL? D at a B4 for context and not looking to burn bridges, if possible.
This may sound odd but I want to eventually work at all the big 4. To me it'll be like collecting infinity stones. Once you work at all 4, what crappy super power do you get? Currently 25% of the way there
Is there a big difference between MM and B4 WLB? I liked the people at the MM firm better, but don't if B4 means that much I could see myself staying.
Any insight in FDD S1 salary at big 4 in NY?

I was offered a job at a big 4 firm l as an A2. Office is local. I’m currently an A2 at a mid-tier firm. It’s great & the culture is great. However, I was hired to be fully remote. It’s been only 4 months but I regret it now because I can’t do culture activities and really miss people and the office environment. My dilemma is I like my current job & firm but fully remote is very hard, has its cons. At the same time, I never imagined I’d get hired by a big 4 firm, plus resume building. Thoughts?Deloitte
Liberty Mutual Corp Strategy and Research, insights to career progression, salary, prestige vs Big 4 consulting? I don’t want to stay in Boston, not sure if the opp makes it worth staying
Some call it quitting on your team, U.S. Gymnastics are calling it mental health issues. I'm calling it something more specific related to sports psychology: the yips. It's bad athletic performance having the yips, but when continuing can turn you into the next Elena Mukhina, backing out is the right call. Alternate history: Simone continues on, manages not to break her neck, but absolutely s**ts the bed and is criticized for taking the US off the podium when knew she wasn't on her game.
Traveling to NY for work. Do you stay at the W Times Square or the Pierre which is actually cheaper on my firms travel site? Obvi no points affiliation / status at Pierre.

I have 18 years of experience broken down as 6 years development in Microsoft products I. E. .Net, 12 years as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst in Detroit multinational company. My Tc is 120k + 15k bonus. When I read about people's post in this app I feel like I am under paid. Am I wrong to think this way? Do companies pay more in or near Detroit Michigan region?

Got an informal offer to join a client (manufacturing company). 240k base, 60k cash bonus target (can shrink or double depending on company metrics) + 50k annual equity (3 yr rolling vesting). Director level which has just one additional layer between me and the Exec Committee. My contact already internal negotiated extra vacation and is working on my behalf for a signing bonus. Is it worth trying to negotiate base? Or is this already a strong offer?
