Seeking advice: I applied to another B4, had a screening call, and have just been asked to provide my availability for an interview. It’s been two weeks since the screening call, and in the interim I’ve had a change of heart, which is to attempt the switch in several months. I want to keep the option open for then. How should I proceed?

Interview? I get excited when people respond and confirm I exist on the same dimensional plane as them.
And I’m also awarded and have worked at some top shops.
An ECD I'd love to work with accepted my LinkedIn connection and it lit me up more than coffee. 😊

It’s everywhere. People like us expect to paid in money and agencies don’t want to do that.

Try less “interviews” and more reaching out to ECDs about 1:1 or portfolio review or just a meet and greet. Waiting for a listing is too late. I want a name in my head the moment I know I have the need.

I do. And I do.
Yes.
Networking is key. ECD1is right — many times a posting goes up, we’ve already started pipelining for a few weeks.

Never have I wanted an email to ~find me well~ so bad
Yes. Recruiters are using AI to scan resumes in mass quantities. They look for keywords they set using the job description. Imagine having your future determined by someone with no real skills, who is now using technology to be even lazier. Recruiters and in house HR professionals view you as money. They don't care about you, you're just dollar signs to them. I've never had an issue landing an interview until now. I've had multiple recruiters often asking me to consider roles, or several interviews at once. Now I can't even get through to real person. I applied to several jobs on the 4th and received rejection emails later that day... On a federal holiday when no one was in the office. It's all being controlled by their automated system.
