I’m a new grad with an offer for a sales engineer position and I wanted to know if any one in this bowl has transitioned out of sales/solutions engineering into another role or industry? We interviewed a great candidate, extended a verbal offer and she accepted. We sent the written offer a few days ago but she hasn’t opened it or accepted (it’s expiring tomorrow). Have you ever had to follow up? How did you handle it? My company is small with no HR, so I have to handle the hiring myself.

I’m 25, make about 100k a year, have a ton of debt to pay off (Cc+student loans=50k~). I also contribute 15% to my 401k (have about 20k there). No savings. From a FIRE perspective is it worth moving back in with toxic parents (to both save on NYC rent prices and help them out a bit financially)? This Q is going to spark some debate. Are the following ranges for average comp for partner with 2-3 YOE accurate? (Not meant to diminish any firms!)

Group 1 - MBB, Tier 2 - Kearney, LEK etc, “deep specialists” - ZS, OW etc: $750k - $1.5M
Group 2: B4, “broad specialists” - Navigant, W. Monroe etc: $400-600K
Group 3: Regional - North Highland, Point B etc: $250-400K

FDD manager here. How hard/realistic it is to break into corp dev with the financial due diligence skill sets?

3/ Study and go back to grab MBA (considering MIT or Stanford MSX - 1 YR)

Interviewing for a Director role soon. Wondering how the questions will be? The last time I interviewed was for a Specialist position and the questions were the typical “tell me about a time when xyz happened and how did you handle it?” But maybe these questions are to elementary for Director level? So anyone know what I can expect so I can best prepare?

I'm a non-traditional CD analyst working in a niche industry (gambling)

My experience is as follows: BIG4 Audit > FP&A (CPG) > CD analyst (1 year)

I like my role (sourcing, modelling and strategy integration), however I don't see myself working in this industry long term. Without a generalist IB background, are my chances of transitioning over to a different Industry low? If so, is there anything I can learn or do (excluding IB)?
