What are salary expectations for a consultant / associate equivalent (2+ years of work experience) role based in the US at development organizations like Chemonics, DAI, FHI 360, and others?

I’m currently a quality control analyst in the biopharma/gene therapy field making 72k base in the Houston area. I’ve been working here for 2 years and my company is well established and the job is easy, but I honestly just want higher pay. I see companies (smaller and larger) that potentially can give me that but would it be worth it? I’m having a hard time finding out what opportunities/paths I can take and what amount of $ would be worth moving jobs for. Any insight is appreciated!

I’ve been so specialized for so long I’m not even sure how to answer this question for myself. Once upon a time I was somewhat interested in tax but I’m worried that’s where fun goes to die. I kinda dig admin law, although that’s cheating a bit because I work with a federal agency.

So I’ve been working at the same place for 3 years and have hit a wall a while back, overworked/ underpaid, overlooked etc . I went back to for a second Bachelors in mechanical engineering but working a full time job will see it I graduate in 10yrs so now I’m starting my MBA soon. Seems like nothing I try helps. Anyone experiencing the same trying to get interviews/ job offers? I’ve been trying to get into Apple, Meta, aerospace giants for yrs. Have only had 2 interviews in 3 yrs. No help.

Black F 🐠 new to the states and I just got my first brush with racism from 2 white elderly (50+) women! And might I just say wow! I feel so much for all non-white people that have lived here in NY and US at large. Q1 - How do you (non-white) cope with this?
I did see a full shift in their mannerism/retort when I responded with a European accent. Q2 - Why would an accent play a part in how one is treated racially?

Getting over heartbreak and having a full time job is torture lol. My boyfriend and I just broke up after almost a year of being together.
