I would tell them that you are required to turn in the old laptop as it’s not your companies property but your old clients. If possible try a file transfer if it’s not classified and you can help from there
I would say you need to return the laptop as you are no longer on the project and per the client’s terms. You can offer to onboard, if you have availability with new client work, and explain to the new team member where they can navigate to find project documentation.
I agree with the above statements. I would turn in my laptop and let the onld manager know, I no longer have access to the old files.
I would keep the old laptop and have a quick training session from it showing them where they can find all the required documents. And then return it and continue any other training from ur company one
