I’m transitioning into consulting and I landed what I think is a good offer. Is it normal to feel like you’re unqualified and that you’re gonna get fired a month into it because you won’t be smart enough to do the work or is that just me?

At what point are you too specialized to lateral to internal audit? I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?
