I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Make sure the employer knows why you’re turning it down. (Though they’re probably aware of how much of a mess HR is)
I plan to!
No, because I don’t work with them. It might be an indication of how the place runs or how people are, but it might not. What’s the department you’re going to work in/with like? That’s key.
I met some of the team in the interviews and was really impressed with all of them. Strong work ethic, seemingly supportive. I’ve had a couple agency jobs at this point and I haven’t needed to communicate with HR ever, so I understand how that shouldn’t be part of my decision here. But the offer was accepted 3 weeks ago and the ball has dropped on their side quite a few times now leaving me uncomfortable with the company overall.

Building off what CW1 said - it is likely an indication of what the HR department is like, possibly the entire agency.
Are you able to go around HR and talk to the hiring manager ?

Couldn’t hurt. Is the hiring manager on any of the calendar invites or can you infer the email structure from the recruiters email ?
If HR was screwing over one of my candidates, I’d want to know.
Be very diplomatic when going to the hiring manager. “I had a couple of follow up questions. x, y, z”. period. don’t mention HR dropping the ball.
if the hiring manager doesn’t step in after you’ve connected to them, then you have your answer.

I did. People seemed nice but the whole recruiting process just felt very very off.
12% higher is not a big enough raise to leave unless you are very unhappy at your current place.
Unfortunately I am very unhappy
I’ve turned down freelance projects based on issues like this. Like when they are so scattered I start worrying they’ll book me and renege or I won’t get paid.
Exactly! I feel like this disorganized communication is an indication of maybe how the rest of the company is.
HR are well known to be useless, don’t rank highly in an org and you’ll likely never work with them again. Reach out to the hiring manager if you have concerns.
That’s the vibe I’m getting. Trying to find out how I can get in contact with the hiring manager just to let them know what happened. Loved the team but HR was a nightmare
I feel like recruiting and HR are always a mess with this stuff. At every agency I’ve gone to, most of which were the big ones even. Then shit gets tied up in finance for approval of the position, and the team has to challenge finance, and then HR, and then might need leadership smith step in if it takes too long yadda yadda yadda.
I feel like HR isn’t necessarily representative of the agency itself. Might be internal process thing in logistics. But if the team is good, it’s got a good client and interesting opportunity, than worth a shot.
Also, there isn’t a single agency out there that runs like a well oiled machine. They all suck lol. Just varying degrees of how much they suck and in which way
