5+ years of full-time job as developer and still waiting to reverse a LinkedList at work.

Since there is a heavy impetus on solving Tree, LinkedList, and Graph problems for tech interviews, it can naturally make freshers believe that these concepts will be used in day-to-day life at work. In reality, most of these DSA concepts are already implemented in some libraries our code uses and we rarely have to code such Algorithms by hand.

What's a good base salary to live comfortably in the San Jose area for a single person? Thinking about interviewing/moving out there from East coast but seeing the rents is giving me sticker shock.

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

I’m new on the job search and still employed. I’m looking to grow further in the logistics industry. While I look for work, it’s a bit discouraging seeing how hundreds of people apply for positions I see on LinkedIn. I still apply because you never know and AI plays a huge effect in selections. Should I even bother applying when there are more than 100 applications?

My AD coworker (not currently my partner) just got hired at a new agency and wants to bring me along as his writer. I'd love to join. He told the recruiter at that agency about me and sent my book. I also have another former coworker (creative) who put in a good word for me.

Should I reach out to the recruiter, too? Or is that overkill after two recos? I don't want to be bothersome. But I do want to show interest..

I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not. I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

I've never worked on anything for TikTok and hope I never have to. TikTok is from hell. I was on it one time for about 10 minutes and could feel myself becoming mentally unwell in just those 10 minutes. The human brain is not designed to deal with the sheer amount of sensory overload that app gives you. I'm pretty sure TikTok is one of the main reasons we are constantly hearing about how much Gen Z struggles with mental health.
