I’m using PTO over the holidays, but I know I’ll still be answering emails. I’ve set up my out-of-office message, told people in advance, and yet I know someone will just have a quick question on the 26th. And then I’ll spiral into guilt about ignoring it. Anyone else struggle to truly unplug during time off? How do you protect your holiday break without letting things pile up?

My students come to my class first every morning and are really hard to settle. They continue to carry on whatever they were doing on the bus. It takes about 20 min to get them settled down and doing the warm up and the class is only 45 min. Any tips?

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
