I’m working with a consumer goods company that does both Own Brand and Private Label products. As a Private Label National Sales/Key Account Manager my focus should be on sales; but I keep having to invest most of my time in keeping the ball running on the operations, and logistics of all my accounts. Anyone have an idea of how to make production, logistics, etc keep moving without constant babysitting.

I was promised a promotion, then was told I wasn’t getting promoted, started applying to other places, fought for it and ended up getting promoted and a raise. I was just offered a job at another agency for $15k higher than the raise I just got. Anyone else finding it very difficult to get any enjoyment out of account management these days? Any coping tips? I feel like being an account person is especially difficult in the COVID era since so much of what we do is manage communications, ensure the team is set up well etc. None of this feels particularly fun alone staring into the void of Zoom all day ... but the same pressure is still there. Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig?
