I'm 11 interviews in for a FAANG PM role (they contacted me). Only 3 have been 'technical' eg. product design, analytics, estimation, etc. The rest have been leadership /soft skills /cross functional. It seems like overkill - there's only so much you can get out of asking a candidate how they've handled situations, etc. Feels like constant iterations of the same Qs. Or is this standard?

I'm in the process of refinancing (expected to close Monday per lender) and between the conditional approval last week and the ready to close step today they increased the loan amount by 10% for no apparent reason and closing costs are up 6% from the preliminary closing docs. I reached out to my contact and they said they'd "look into it." Are late changes common and what recourse do I have if they do not change it back to the original loan amount/costs?
