Has anyone done the Blackstone pymetrics?
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

It depends on where you live… but $250K is probably the new number from a household income standpoint…enough not to struggle… not enough to not care… you’re officially upper middle class…

Wow... I have my work cut out to get there. I had put a spreadsheet together for how much we would need to feel comfortable and I got to low 200s. I think you're right on.
Not anymore.
Sometimes my own finances remind me of the line from Idiot Wind, "you find out when you reach the top, you're on the bottom." I mean, you get to where you always thought you would have it made, and it's like the cash just disappears faster. I shouldn't complain about first world problems, I know, but it is exasperating at times.
Not to mention you get lifestyle creep. Every time your salary goes up, your lifestyle changes as well. You don't even really notice the increase in pay because everything just gets more expensive.
When did you graduate? 2010?
I graduated 2016. I make $225k salary now with discretionary bonuses between 20-50% depending on the year. I have two children and my wife doesn’t work. It still is not enough money.
$150k is the new $100k with inflation.
You haven’t made your goal yet

I think this is a good way to look at it.
Yeah - it doesn’t get easier.

Yep its about double that now to be decently comfortable. The only problem is finding a job that will pay you that much. Wages simply have not kept up to make family life affordable.
