I’m an introvert and remain a Partner. Key is to find what your clients like and what your firm values. Some firms like extroverts and interns introverts - but more important some clients are more comfortable with extroverts and others with introverts. Find your home and get it done.

100%. Unless you’re in an extremely technical role benefiting the rest of the firm and clients with your technical expertise or leadership, you have BD responsibility. Even in those roles mentioned, it would still be somewhat expected. Getting to partner without some level of BD is very rare (not impossible, but very rare).
There is a difference between introvert and can’t talk to people though. I always phrase it this way, extroverts recharge their batteries by being around people and talking. Introverts have social batteries that recharge by alone time. Introverts can be great at BD, they just need to be efficient and find the right opportunities to use their ability.
