EY Deloitte PwC people - would you leave your current employer for a 15%-25% total comp difference? This translates to a 25-45k difference per annum, largely driven by bonus at the new firm (20-40%), much smaller than my current employer. Doesn’t feel like a great exit opportunity - currently at big 4 this would be moving to a niche consulting company

I'm not familiar with "Health capability" but assuming you're going to be working with healthcare clients you would joining the Civilian portfolio which has been killing it the last few years. The salary bands are massive. It will depend on your role, clearance and experience. CL 8 can be anywhere from 110-200k but on average most are likely in the 120-140k range. RTO depends on the client mostly. We still have a fair amount of fully remote projects but some are fully back in the office as well. Impossible to say for sure.
Thank you! Yes, probably federal health clients. Health capability is what my interviewers have called it, but I might start in the DoS segment and move to the Health segment eventually - not quite sure how AFS is structured. Good to hear someone confirm that the account is doing well.
We’re structured in two dimensions - vertical portfolios, and horizontal capabilities. You get hired to a horizontal capability, and loaned out to a portfolio for your role.
Our portfolios are evolving with our recent acquisition of Cognosante. Beginning later this year, the 4 portfolios will be: Civilian. Defense. Health. Public Safety. Think of these are “verticals” - they own the P&L.
You’ll be hired to a bench on one of our capabilities - think of these as “horizontals” that support the portfolios. Then you’re loaned out to a portfolio for a project, and then go back to the capability’s bench until you find another role.
What’s your speciality?
Technology? (Cloud, Data/AI, Platforms, cyber?)
Strategy/management consulting?
Operations?
That determines where you’re aligned.
There’s no health capability / bench. What’s the title of the role you’re interviewing for? Might be able to help decipher where you’ll land.
Ahhh thank you, this is so helpful. The title is healthcare consultant I believe.
