Oh wow, that looks really interesting. I've heard of things like that but never came close to trying it. Not too sure I could pull it off, but I might give it a go at some point if I'm feeling brave.
I used instant dashi broth as my stock since I didn’t want to make my own stock. The hardest part honestly was taking the bowl out the steamer ahaha
Looks good! I was just today looking up recipes for breakfast soup and even breakfast pasta! I know those are not traditional breakfast items and I don’t know what brought the idea to mind I did find a few interesting recipes I am going to try. I hope they are as good as they look in the pictures lol
Ooo I would be interested in that breakfast pasta option if you find a good one

Nicely done. Steamed egg is a staple in my family, I grew up eating it. Over white rice is the best way to enjoy it.

I follow mostly this recipe, but instead of chicken bouillon, I use dashi powder. I also skip the scallion, and I drizzle a bit of seasoned soy at the end.

OP I am not going to lie I had a breakfast sandwich recently that had an egg done this way on it and I did not like it. For me the texture just wasn't quite right and the egg was far too fat for that sandwhich. However a bowl like this looks like it would be good.
Yes I think it’s a very savory egg which would go well with a bowl of rice and soup !!
