How was you memorial day weekend?
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

is the rental market getting better?

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

First gig. You just take it. You don't want to be the last new hired to get staffed, especially if it's because you said no to something you were offered. Just know most projects are short. So even if it's a DF, it will be over soon. But while some jobs will have an unclear creeping scope that will result in way too many hours, few are an actual DF.
Hahaha great take
That’s a good thing to fear I’m afraid. Getting stuck on the wrong project can impact your growth.

Also, I want to say most incoming at that level are excited to start, and more concerned with if they get staffed quickly and how staffing works, not how do I avoid getting staffed on something awful. You may want to readjust your view before starting. Not sure this negative lens will set you up for success.
