I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

I was in a similar boat (4.5 yrs exp industry + consulting) when I started at Deloitte last year and I started at 95k. Thought the salary was fair but I was able to convince them to give me a 5k singing bonus as well. Negotiate this one, bud! You can do it!!
OP, sorry if this is off-topic... but how long did it take for your recruiter to reach out to you after your interview, telling you that you would be receiving an offer? Thanks in advance for any info
Received offer from the Recruiter the next day after the interview
How long was the consulting experience and what firm was it with?
If it wasn’t independent consulting, doesn’t look like a fair offer
If it’s important to you, push for it. There are NO guarantees regarding promotions - unless they give it to you in written form.
I asked hired into another big 4 consulting firm as SC with $115k base with 6 years of experience and no mba. Hope that gives you perspective. I thought I was underpaid at the time though.
OP, I had the same experience. Interviewed for SC and got C, was told I need another year of experience for SC as I was at 4 years but got 128k still.
No, you should push for SC and higher base. They tried to do the same to me, and they ended up upping their offer when I told them I wanted to be considered for SC. I was polite but firm
Yea usually we bring folks in a level lower than they think they should be. Honestly it will set you up for success since expectations are lower at the C level
Deloitte doesn’t vary comp by location. OP, based on info you provided it’s pretty low. Considering a an UG hire at Deloitte makes something around $80k these days, $90k is way below the mark. Try to get it up. If that doesn’t work, consider another firm.
Deloitte doesn’t vary comp by location...only if OP is in the US
That’s not bad for a C. SC is typically 110-130 in most practices. S&O it goes up a bit.
I think the part that isn’t fair is them bringing you on as a C. For commercial consulting at D, 90k seems a little low for 6 yrs of exp. But they do tend to do that if you don’t have a blue chip background.
Nobody goes from bulge bracket banking front office roles to Deloitte Consulting.
I have 3 years experience with D and got offered for SC... pending salary though. What can I expect? Cyber risk... also OP - what BU are you in?
Seems like you are in advisory so even expect lower. You have to be in consulting to make the big $$$
Comp doesn’t sound fair. I would suggest not to accept anything below 120k as base salary.
Too low for your current experience. For reference, a BTA starts at 72k-80k fresh from undergrad. I would not do anything less than 110k SC. May accept C role if I think I need more exposure to consulting.
