Interviewing to transition to industry (pharma/biotech) and totally checked out at my current job. I’m over consulting and I only like a handful of people I work with. I’m in good standing, but just have to stay motivated enough to get my work done and not ruffle any feathers.

How can I get away with the bare minimum at my current job without seeming like I’m slacking?

Should change your title on your posts to get more responses. Every time I see Engagement Manager I immediately associate it with the wild MAGA EM that pops up regularly.

funny

Omg this is a nightmare 😂. I don’t even know who this MAGA EM is. I wonder if you can see a person’s post history.

What wrong with the MAGA EM?

funny

Wow I don’t know who this MAGA EM is but I am not him!

What’s funny is I was in a similar spot and ended up getting better results from my team with less effort.

It will take delegation and radical ownership to your team. You will still need to keep up appearances, with those above you.

Look into Pareto principle, you can likely get better results with less overall effort

I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). It sounds like that's a tall order in the NY/CT area given the prices, not to mention whether I'd be able to get a mortgage on anything below $100K, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Any advice on what you might do in my position? Am I being crazy with this idea?

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

should I take the offer if the pay is the same?
Will Deloitte blacklist me?
