Cost of labor in Texas is cheaper
Seems low. EY wasn’t super competitive with my offer a few years ago compared to the other B4. But I think they were around $170k.
Consulting salaries are going down. Houston is not that expensive
I doubt it. Texas doesn’t require salary disclosure, so no need to take the figure seriously. Use MCOL locations with required disclosures as a benchmark. Houston’s cheap (I live here), but I’m not sure it’s truly LCOL
It’s only 126.8, if it was 128k, I would’ve considered. Btw, I hate people
No , they offered me $125k as an SA last year, definitely more for M
For perspective when in interviews like 4 years back it was around only $200 - 220K for SMs
Just apply and see what the market values you, assuming you make it past the interview.
65 people applied so the market indicates the salary is acceptable to many. Maybe they are offering sponsorship.

It’s HR consulting in Houston. Doesn’t seem crazy.
That’s a good salary for Houston. Can live very comfortably on that.
