Cost of labor in Texas is cheaper

like

Seems low. EY wasn’t super competitive with my offer a few years ago compared to the other B4. But I think they were around $170k.

Consulting salaries are going down. Houston is not that expensive

like

I doubt it. Texas doesn’t require salary disclosure, so no need to take the figure seriously. Use MCOL locations with required disclosures as a benchmark. Houston’s cheap (I live here), but I’m not sure it’s truly LCOL

like

It’s only 126.8, if it was 128k, I would’ve considered. Btw, I hate people

funny

No , they offered me $125k as an SA last year, definitely more for M

helpful

For perspective when in interviews like 4 years back it was around only $200 - 220K for SMs

Just apply and see what the market values you, assuming you make it past the interview.

65 people applied so the market indicates the salary is acceptable to many. Maybe they are offering sponsorship.

It’s HR consulting in Houston. Doesn’t seem crazy.

That’s a good salary for Houston. Can live very comfortably on that.

Curious to hear how others create a SOW for a video where the concept isn’t created yet. e.g. a startup asks for a proposal/estimate for a 60-second brand video with little input and a vague budget range. We’ll create the concept and produce it. My Co. seems to have challenges with getting the SOW right: either goes very basic or doesn’t scope enough because creative development is baked in but eats up time. How do you do it?

Our team got a new manager last week. Today, he asked all of us to share our calendars with him. Reason he gave: he wants to forward some of our meetings to a new colleague so that she can join and learn.
What do you think about this? I find it intrusive and controlling. He could just ask us to invite her to calls.
