Is 50k enough to live in London?

I hold 8 years experience in Wealth management, financial advisory in Banking. My current salary is fixed 9 lpa and variable 10 lap. Currently I am negotiating salary with one of the Big 4 firms. Can anyone tell me how much hike should I quote as fixed and variable ??

When I spoke with HR she said that their was some confusion and with name and they have send wrong offer letter but except my CTC and joining date everything was same my email id, my home address everything. And now I have been asked to wait, HR says they will raise again. And its been 3 days now I can not accept the previous offer also and I cant even resign from my current company. What should I do?

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. Interested in working in PE, but experiences align more with the Ops side (3 YOE in strategic value creation). Is there a significant difference in total comp potential between ops and investments roles? Not sure how to make a case to break into investments with minimal DD experience, so thinking about Ops recruitment (Associate). Would also be grateful to learn about potential strategies non-DD focused consultants have used to ultimately break into investment teams.

Have any of you moved to PE for a slight pay decrease from the crazy banking comps last year?

I have submitted the documents for LTI..before an formal HR call one lady HR called me and ask for expected CTC..i have one offer in hand and i demand 20% of that offer as fixed..she asked me to negotiate and so i went for 20% of offer as total CTC instead of fixed..she simply said OK thats it..and call ended..will I get positive note from them....?

Moving companies recommendations? I’m moving locally next month. Also if you can tell me how much you paid that’d be great!

Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand

PWC - 22L fixed

This is for a guidewire role.
Which is a better offer? What would be a good option for growth wrt role, salary etc.
Also, PWC claims to offer variable based on their fixed CTC based on the ratings.. is this true ? How much is the avg percentage given?

Hi Fellow Fishes! I need some urgent advice. I had accepted a job offer at a really good company with a good role and team. I am due to start that new job on Monday 30th Aug. Now the thing is I have a better job offer from one of my dream companies-i would be really stupid not to take that offer. So I would be declining the job at the first company just 2 days before i am supposed to start! I know its a good problem to have but a very unpleasant conversation with them. How do i soften the blow?

Does anyone here suffer from bipolar disorder? How do you manage it and working in law? I see a therapist, and a psychiatrist, and am on medication, but I still have days where I wake up and I’m so depressed I can’t move. I’m working on remedying this with my doctors, but how does one approach mental health issues with their employer? I never felt the need to until I realized how much being bipolar can affect my ability to work.
