My friend got 10k as a non experienced so it seems low
Ey1 that’s campus hire most likely
Experienced hire signing bonuses at D are not that common
D initially didn’t offer me a signing bonus when I was hired as a C earlier this year. I was able to negotiate a 5K bonus and justified it because I was leaving about that much in non-vested 401(k) contributions from my previous employer. Probably could have gotten more but meh.
I got 10K as a C. Probably could have negotiated that up a bit.
Yeah I am applying for federal so I wonder if that makes a difference but I got 10k out of college so I was really expecting more than that
Depends on the skill set....
Interns just got a 12.5k signing bonus. So yeah, I'd say that's low.
Experienced hire C last year and I got no signing bonus
Experienced hire C (fed), just hired 4 months ago, 5 k signing
I got 5k as an experienced hire SC1 signing bonus. But they negotiated base up very slightly and I was keen AF to bounce from my last job.
Not low but also not high. I’d look for getting a few extra k on that salary before extra on signing bonus, uncle same is going to eat half of the bonus anyway.
Experienced hire sign-on is not always high or standard practice. I got $7k and wasn’t expecting it, since I got the base + bonus I wanted. Be happy, most of it will go to taxes either way. 🙃
They're not reaching the base I want (which is to say least match what I'm already earning) so the signing bonus doesn't mean much to me, especially since combined it still doesn't match my current salary
How much are SC1s coming in at? They are offering me 135-ish, but I am pretty sure the average is higher??
Well. I'm in a particularly weird situation that I don't want to disclose, but it's federal SC at 100. And it's that number specifically for reasons related to me (more than the job I think)
