I’m grateful for job postings that lay it all on the table. At least they’re upfront and honest about expectations.

realistically there are not many in house roles that are nine to 5 in this economy, every company is hyper optimized to milk every once of labor from the counsels they retain while laying the fat off
💯 SA1
Every job I ever had in house required long hours as needed.
Same. That’s why I’m like - yess??? Like I’m not going to just not work? Maybe some people would give a big fat nope but it seems like a logical requirement?
I feel like it’s just standard job posting garble along with “face paced environment.” They just don’t want people who will refuse to do their part but if you have actual concerns but are otherwise interested in the position the interview is a good chance to ask those questions to get a feel for work life balance.
Also consider a lot of toxic workplaces will not reveal that in the job posting. I think it’s a crapshoot and the best way to get a feel for WLB other than actually having worked there for awhile is by talking to the people hiring for the position. They may try to hide it but there are always tells and you can pick up on vibes from the people and can get a sense for things. Just make sure to ask with tact. Questions about what do you like about this company, what are the challenges, what is the team like, how do you manage stress
Yes.
