MU & OCLR, stock bowl anyone?
Hi fishes! My spouse is planning to go to India but we would need to get her visa stamped before coming back. I see that getting appointment is such a huge problem right now. Can we get her visa stamped from a different country? In this case, we were considering Qatar, she grew up there and has her brother there. For what it’s worth she qualifies for Dropbox in India. How do I find out if Qatar works in our case?Deloitte

@BCG1 yes 5 points through Amex GBT
I have a friend that goes with both. We uses the Amex for the perks and CSR for better rewards.
In my opinion, 2 main reasons to add an amex Platinum to a csr. 1) amex experiences - gives you some insider access to events, etc.. basically a concierge you might actually get some real benefit from. 2) centurian lounges. The centurian lounges are significantly better than virtually all of the priority pass longues, so especially if you live in a city with one, it can be worth it.
Value of those things varies by person, my belief is it is typically not worth it for most people
Do you get 5x points with Amex platinum if you book through company travel agency on your personal Amex platinum card?
@BCG: No. Only direct or via AMEX travel.
What if our corporate travel is Amex global business travel - does that count?
Oh, well that's kind of an oddball situation. I suspect you'll have to ask AMEX.
Depends on whether your firm will pay for both fees or not. Our firm only pays for one annual fee a year, so it's not super worth it to have both for me.
^^ noob answer oliver wyman 1, amex platinum can easily pay for itself
i would say it is worth it if you:
1) fly delta and want skyclub access
2) fly to or from an airport with a centurion lounge
lounge access is the easiest way to justify amex platinum if you already have csr
