I just finished my MBA. I’d never even considered my masters until my employer paid for it. My MBA helped me get a huge pay rise and I’ve just settled into a new role that I love.

I’ve just been offered a full scholarship for a PhD in a topic I am passionate about, already an active advocate for and with academics I sincerely admire. The topic is directly for a study I already contribute to every year.

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. This is a recent incident happened to me, was interviewed for tcs, salary discussion happened on 12th March and was told to wait for final approval and was told that offer letter would be rolled out in 2 weeks. Hr did not negotiate on the CTC either. After waiting for a month i tried reaching HR they did not respond. After multiple emails they simply say that they cannot move forward due to high deviations. Guys is this normal in TCS that even after final CTC discussions ,candidates get rejectd.

I attended interview at amazon for l5 application engineer role ,they told i will be hiring for l4 as my performance was not upto mark one more interview round to go,what will be the salary range for L4 and L5 for an application engineer at amazon could anyone please tell me ?

A new analyst has joined our team and we often give them models/ slides but don’t always ask them if they know all of the accounting principles to be able to make minute adjustments to EBITDA or free cash flow. We are a FIG platform, so the knowledge required is relatively unique as well and not as easy to google as corporate transactions. Is there a better way to coach the analyst short of just throwing them in the deep end to figure it out or should we wait for them to ask us for help?

PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?
