Fair enough. I’m still single with a single mouth to feed occasionally ;)

What practice areas and location?

like

Corporate & I’m in NYC! I’m open to other practice areas but I largely focus on corporate / m&a!

No thanks. Now if you want to do a blockchain AI law firm as a service I could be down.

funny

Do you mean a law firm servicing clients that heavily utilizes AI in all aspects of the business?

Freelance creatives, how do you get medical/dental/vision coverage (assuming you don't rely on a partner for coverage)? Or do you pay for everything out of pocket? Clearly I am new to this. Help!

Hey guys, I’m a freelance broadcast producer and I’ve spent most of my career working for larger agencies. I’m doing something for a smaller agency and they want the production company to hide costs in their bid and then have production bill the client the inflated amount directly and pay the hidden costs to the agency. The agency is calling it a “consultation fee” but client just thinks production costs more. Is that common and I just haven’t experienced it before? Or is this a big red flag?

Is our industry as competitive as some say? I see a lot of people saying this and I work with a bunch of hacks (myself included). It felt like a little while ago agencies were begging to hire new talent, and most couldn’t find new people. Is it really that hard to get a job at an agency? Maybe I’m just out of touch being in this career for so long.

It is that time in life for me to buy new socks - not work socks, just every day socks. I prefer low / no show. Don't want to break my bank but also want socks that'll last.

Recommendations appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I passed my RHIT exam a month ago, and I’ve been applying to jobs in state, out of state, and remotely to only receive “sorry you were not selected email.”I don’t have experience and I know that’s the reason I’m not getting selected. I’ve applied for receptionist, medical biller/coordinator, and medical clerk. Even with inflation willing to work for minimum wage or less just to gain experience.

Should I take more initiative? It’s my stub year and I’m getting worried. My hours have been super low the past two months, I’m talking like maybe billing 3-4 hours a day and billing no hours on multiple days. I ask for work but the tasks I get don’t require a lot of time. Should I be reaching out more?
