No its not dying. In India management want quantity (full stack , devops etc.. ) but if you know C# well and someone who has knack of good clean code would understand good .net developer value. Rest will look for how many tech you know.

There are few kind of developers.

One which can make things but mostly would not think of future scalability, performance optimisation but mostly will try to finish the code by looking other code/module in solution with similar pattern.

Another few kind who can write good clean code, their code is tastable and have not overused design & patterns. And most importantly they know how to write and create solutions from scratch.

I know people who just write asp net api and backend code and make good 40-50 usd per hour in India.

I work in US Tax and had an experience of 3 year. Had got an offer of 14Lpa in another big4,but still don't feel like continuing in US Tax. As taxation is something I do feel like I don't want to make a career anymore, because of work life balance & also as it specialised. Please suggest other option worthy to make a career shift. Bonus is out for EY GDS steps to see. Goto gdsindiapayroll.greythr.com, click on IT Declaration on left. Then click on My Tax Planner at the top right. Then click create my plan then click view it calculation on bottom right then expand income here under adhoc income you should see variable performance bonus amout.

Hello fine people,
I have a question. I am a GDS employee wishing to relocate to another country as EY country “x” employee. The plan to relocate to country x was already in motion, if not EY then another org. The EY partner from country x is very interested in having me join their team but not sure about my GDS partner because they will be losing billing and may not like it. Is there a way I can approach this with my leaders? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
