Outside of the fact that half our firm just got laid off, our firm is a great place to work.
After MBB, all major strategy houses are pretty much the same. We are all fighting for number 4 spot after Booz was acquired. There are some leaders in terms of brand value right now. I would still say ACN strat, s&, OW, Alixpartners, and ATK have the better brands from a *pure strategy* point of view than a Deloitte, EY, KPMG. I would not include LEK in that list. Why? because I don't like LEK1's tone ^^^^^^
Also yes 10% of overall staff might be in line with the rest of the industry (for many firms it's more than that) but those are usually after 2 years on the job. There is a huge difference between firing someone 6 months in vs after 2 years

To my knowledge they do a lot of shit but particularly good at procurement
EY1, the split happened in 1930s....so no, it's not just ops work, though it's a very strong practice. ATK2, did you really just state that 1500 people were laid off? Can we please get back to the facts - the number of outcounseled staff end of last year was dramatic to ATK standards, but it is largely in line with the industry.
To be fair it was ATK2 who said half the firm. P1 - why are a lot of ATK people talking about layoffs then if it was in line with industry?
@M1 bc we didn't use to counsel people out in line with industry, so it was an increase by internal standards

ATK confuses me, but otherwise I think so? Bundle LEK with OW.
Lol I kid LEK1. I don't regret my decision to take S& over LEK AND OW and haven't met someone here who does. I'm sure the opposite is true as well for people at your firm and others. To say you're wrong or right brings a false objectivity to an entirely subjective decision

^ATK1 please see post in ATK bowl and come talk to me if interested in actual numbers of promotions and out-counsels before throwing numbers like "half the firm" around. You're not doing yourself or anyone else any good.
