It’s pay for play. Here’s the thing, though: they don’t ask *you* to pay. Once your executive has interviewed with them, they ask you for the names of your partners/vendors/etc. so they can sell the ad space to them. It’s a total scam and even worse than more straightforward pay for play opps, imo. Avoid.
I have also had this experience, despite asking outright at the outset if there would be any payment involved and being assured there wouldn't be. Major ethical concerns with this publication and I would advise anyone to avoid engaging with them.
If you look at some of the interviews and features they have done, it is not pay to play, that is one option. We had a great experience with them and we didn't have to advertise or give a list of vendors. They probably do this, but it isn't the only option.
