"Is graphic design dead?" Personally, I don't think it's dead but I would say it's endangered. A lot of us aren't going to make it through with our careers intact. Only those of us who learn to adapt and bring something more to the table than AI can will survive in this field. What does everyone else think? Is Graphic Design dead?

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. How can one transition from a Visual/graphic designer in marketing to a product designer? And what’s it like being a product designer w a visual design background? Will you completely leave behind the graphic design world or are you still wearing many hats and still fulfilling that design and creative buzz? What courses, or resources do you have to make that jump? Can my portfolio have made up projects for this? I feel like I’m starting all over in design school! Haha.

I’ve been told that cold applying and making no contacts is usually not going to lead to anything, and that’s been true in my experience. But should I reach out to someone first?
