40% base comp increase is all you need to evaluate.
Agree with this. Screw titles a 40% bump is worth a demotion. I almost took a staff role for a 35% bump with lower bonus options from my current manager role but got a counter offer so still with uncle D on a project I really like with leadership on both sides that I love and feel like I'm now fairly compensated and looking for another promoting next year.

Better comp, stronger leadership, no brainer.
Take the offer. It will take you 3 years to get the 40% bump if you stay at D. Worst case, you don’t like it at PwC and boomerang back to D at M level for another 40% bump.
Depending on your network and performance trying to go for a counter offer might be worth it if one enjoy the work and leadership had at Deloitte.
Rising Star
SC and SA are the same level. At D you move SC > M at PwC it’s SA > M.
I would take the pay bump and not worry about moving back to D. If you want to do consulting long term to may need to sit tight somewhere after you make SM.
Rising Star
I didn’t say you couldn’t but is that person who’s an SM now a partner? You need a significant network to make partner at a firm. The person who left may not be on that trajectory. Ppl leave at any level but if someone is trying to make partner then staying after an SM promo will serve them better.
Not to be a jerk but if you only have 3 YOE how were you up for SC at D?
NOT TO BE A JERK - Overall thread and comments looks like you are asking question and answering it ... So what are you expecting from us ?
Are you one of those who think you are gift to mankind ?
Are you moving from mc to mc? I though d paid more than PwC?
PWC2: what we used to call Strategy & Operation was the “MC” part of Deloitte Consulting. Deloitte advisory used to be our enterprise risk .. think controls, cyber, compliance
