I’m so confused why would it be after?
Depends if you are OK possibly burning time and finding out the pay is low.
Safest option is to wait, if you get the offer then negotiate. Right now you don't even know if you are getting it
You have the most leverage when an offer is made. By this time they have invested a lot of time and effort in you and will try to make it work instead of starting over with someone new. If you have the time to take the interviews and have the option to not accept, then I would not mention anything now.
I haven’t been in such a situation but I’d imagine you know what level and rank you are applying for? If you don’t and you’re going in blind, I would wait for an offer before getting into it
Unfortunately you can make it clear you want X level, and they can still present you with an offer at a lower level.

Of course. But I won’t accept it then.
You can discuss it before but it will not matter and you will find leaders less educated and experienced than you for an opportunity.

Ok boomer. Thanks Bob.
