Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Hmmm- Hyatt’s my jam. True for Amex? Better than their own hotel redemption?
Yes it is worth it if you go through the portal for ultimate rewards (chase specific). You get 1.25 — 1.5 points per point spent on whatever. Typically though, you’re right, flight miles are the most value per point that you can use.

I booked a Hotel Collection yesterday and the points options were ~.7.
Redeeming for points isn’t necessary for FHR. FHR bookings are great, but to relate it to the original post, are not for points redemptions.
Can be useful as a top up for existing stashes too
Anything can be worth it just gotta do the math. I transferred to Marriot points a few years ago for a Ritz stay over Christmas, was getting over 3.6 cents per point ($2200 per night at 60k points)
