Just tell them as soon as you can. Whether you're on PTO or not doesn't really matter, because they need that time to plan your exit. Congratulations on the new job!
I don't think it's messed up at all. They would fire you while you were on PTO if they needed to 😆 No, but really, do what's in your best interest. The more notice they have, the sooner they can find your replacement.
I agree with ELT, they need to plan their exit plan, and they need time for that, so tell them whenever you can to avoid burning bridges too. What happens if they offer a better offer than the one you got? Would you consider it?
Use all time off and vacation getting ready,be careful they will terminate you whenever give a notice so be ready
At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you. If you are okay burning that bridge then go for it. Because it will more than likely burn the bridge if you do that.
Most companies let you go immediately upon the notice- very few allow rehire
If the company has been good to you then you need to give them two-week notice. That's the right thing to do. If they haven't been good to you, then you do what you feel is right. Remember, you may be asking for a reference down the line and don't want to burn bridges. You know what you need to do! :)
No need to give 2 weeks- they don't give you time when they let you go. Unless you need a LOR or have an opportunity to ever return to the company. Most companies don't let you return

I don’t think so at all - no reason PTO is different from other time

Depends on if you want to use them as a reference or not. If not, then I wouldn’t worry about it.
