I would recommend discussing this with your employer or potential future employers before you go ahead and do it. See what options are out there! You don't want to end up in a difficult financial situation, but of course, you should also feel the freedom to pursue your goals. What would be your main reasons for obtaining an MHA?
Depends on what you want to do but I’ve never needed more than my bachelors and a lean cert.
I usually deter my interns from going straight to a masters until they get experience they might not need it and they also might find out they don’t want a masters with that concentration… who knows! Lots of my interns have decided to go other routes after they get hands on training and experience in administration. It’s not for everybody.
If you’re already in healthcare you might be able to get a job that would pay for it, if you’re open to changing companies. Or maybe your current employer would be willing if they need good people to move up!
Overall… I’m struggling with my bachelors repayment and I get paid well for my role. I wouldn’t go for a masters right now unless I found a way for it to be paid for.

Personally, I do not think it is worth it. Some companies require a masters for advanced leadership roles (C-suite and typically clinical based Directors).
But to break into administration, it is not necessary. We just hired a charge nurse into a DON role. All she has in a BSN. Admin Manager and Coordinator roles do not need a MHA, some companies may see it as overqualified.
I only have a B.S. and I am the third highest paid Director at my facility.
